Coronavirus Update Close

In line with the latest government guidance, we've put in place further measures in England to help customers practice social distancing. This includes limiting the available seats on buses.

Face coverings are compulsory when using public transport in England and Scotland. In Wales you must wear a 3 layer face covering on public transport and put it on before travelling unless you are exempt. It is also now compulsory to wear face coverings when using indoor public transport hubs in England only.

The safety of our customers and employees is our priority, so please avoid busy times, use contactless payment and take your litter with you. For up to date information see our Coronavirus page

Stagecoach North East helps to support the 2015 Poppy Appeal

11 Nov 2015

Stagecoach North East is helping to support the 2015 Poppy Appeal and the Royal British Legion.

To help raise awareness of this year’s Poppy Appeal, vinyl poppies will be fitted to buses operating across the north east. The local bus operator is also encouraging its customers to tweet photos of buses with the poppies, with goody bags for their favourite ones.

Stagecoach UK Bus has also made a significant donation to ensure that poppies are provided for all drivers across the UK who wish to wear one.

The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal helps to provide thousands of modern veterans, Service men, women and their families with vital advice and support.

Phil Medlicott, Stagecoach North East Managing Director, said: “I’m delighted that we are able to help raise funds for such a worthy cause that is so important to many of our employees and passengers. By displaying poppies on our buses we are helping to raise awareness of the Poppy Appeal across the north east and recognise the fantastic work by the Royal British Legion to support veterans and the Armed Forces.”

The Poppy Appeal activity follows the signing of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant in March this year by Stagecoach Group. The company has committed to support the Armed Forces Community by recognising the value of serving personnel, both regular and reservists, veterans and military families contribute to the Stagecoach business and the country.
