Passengers in Hartlepool and Teesside can make Easter even more ‘eggsciting’ this year with ‘cheeper’ travel opportunities across the region for families.

Stagecoach North East has once again brought on board its popular offer for under 16s to travel for only 10p this Easter, which means great value trips to meet friends or celebrate with family over the holidays.

For last minute shopping in town, enjoying a family meal over the Bank Holiday, or visiting one of the many events in the area, Stagecoach North East is offering youngsters the opportunity to travel all day for just ten pence when they board with a full paying adult.

The region offers a wide range of attractions and places to experience this Easter, including a day out shopping at the Middleton Grange Shopping Centre, a refreshing trip to the beach at Seaton Carew or enjoying a meal and drinks at the Historic Quay.

On Teesside families can visit the animals at Newham Grange Country Farm or competitive fun at Stockton’s Hollywood Bowl. The travel offer can help with buying last minute Easter Eggs in town, enjoying a family meal over the Bank Holiday, or visiting one of the many ‘eggscellent’ events in the area,

By simply purchasing on board a daytripper, dayrider or dayrider plus, or showing a valid Megarider, from 8 April to 23 April, adults can travel with up to two under 16-year olds for just ten pence each, and up to four under five-year-olds can travel for free.

Jason Astley, Operations Manager at Stagecoach North East’s Hartlepool depot, said: “Hartlepool offers families countless opportunities to have enjoyable days out, and we hope this excellent value ticket extends the family fun during the holidays, come rain or shine.

Nathan Stanislawski, Operations Manager at Stagecoach North East’s Teesside depot in Stockton, added: “At Stagecoach North East, we’re always looking for new ways to benefit the community and improve our passengers’ travel experience.”

The 7-day megarider ticket is available onboard for £10.70 in Hartlepool and £12.25 on Teesside. The dayrider ticket is valid on all Stagecoach buses in Hartlepool for £3.45 and on Teesside with the daytripper for £4.50. The dayrider plus ticket is £5.15 and allows unlimited travel on all Stagecoach buses throughout Teesside and Hartlepool.
