National lockdown restrictions are in place across England until 2 December but bus services are running as normal. You should only travel for work, education or other permitted reasons. 

In South Wales, all of our timetables will go back to what we were running before the 'firebreak' lockdown. There will also be some timetable changes to a number of Aberdare services to improve connectivity. 

The new tier system is in operation across Scotland, but if you need to travel, make sure you're up-to-date with what's happening in your area by checking the local government guidance.

We've put in place measures to allow you to travel safely including limiting available seats on buses and enhanced cleaning. Unless you’re exempt, you must wear a face covering throughout your journey. Please avoid busy times, use contactless payment where you can, keep your distance and take your litter with you. Bargain bus fares for youngsters this half term

Youngsters across the Tees Valley can hop aboard the bus with their parents this half term and travel all day for just 10p thanks to local bus operator, Stagecoach North East.

The bargain bus fares are available on Stagecoach buses across the Teesside and Hartlepool for young people aged 16 and under, so it means affordable travel for all the family to help make the most of the half term break.

Whether enjoying the sunshine in Seaton Carew, planning a family shopping trip to Middlesbrough, or seeing the latest blockbuster movie in Teesside Park, Stagecoach North East is giving families the chance to get out and about for just 10p per child, to reach all sorts of events and activities in Hartlepool and Teesside.

The ten pence travel offer is valid from Monday 29 May until Sunday 4 June. Across Teesside, by purchasing a dayrider plus, or showing a valid Megarider, adults can take up to two under 16-year olds along for the ride for just ten pence each and ride all day. Additionally, up to four children under five are able to travel with an adult absolutely free. In Hartlepool, adults can take up the offer with a dayrider, dayrider plus or Megarider. 

Jason Astley, Operations Manager at Stagecoach North East’s Hartlepool depot, said: “There is so much to do across the Tees Valley area and our special offer on Stagecoach buses provides convenient and affordable travel for family fun days out. With festivals, shopping, seaside and countryside all on our doorstep, there is much to do and see this half term and ways to keep the children entertained.”

The 7-day megarider ticket is available for £11.50 in Hartlepool and £12.50 on Teesside, and allows unlimited travel on all Stagecoach buses. The megarider Plus ticket is £15.50 for unlimited travel across Hartlepool and Teesside. The dayrider ticket is valid on all Stagecoach buses in Hartlepool for £3.60. The dayrider Plus ticket is £5.30, and allows unlimited travel on all Stagecoach buses throughout Hartlepool and Teesside.
