Reminder to nominate your customer service champion and win a cash prize

There is still time for bus passengers across Teesside, Hartlepool, Sunderland, South Shields and Newcastle to say thank you and nominate their Customer Service Champion from Stagecoach North East and win a cash prize of up to £500.

The deadline for submitting entries for the Stagecoach Group Champions Awards is fast approaching (Friday 26th May) and the local bus operator is encouraging its customers to reward staff that have gone above and beyond before the deadline at the end of the month.

Now in its eighth year, the company’s Group-wide Champions Awards recognises staff achievements in a number of categories including safety, environment, health, innovation, community and customer service. The initiative acknowledges team members who go the extra mile, make the journey extra special or deserve a simple thank you. 

Customers who nominate a winning employee can receive a cash prize of £500 for a gold award-winning employee, £250 for a silver award-winning employee and £125 for a bronze award-winning employee.

Managing Director of Stagecoach North East, Steve Walker, said: “With time running out, we are calling on bus customers to pick their favourite employee - which could be a driver, customer service assistant, inspector or any other member of the Stagecoach team - and not miss out on the opportunity to win a cash prize as a thank you.” 

Customers who wish to nominate an employee should visit www.stagecoachbus.com or email champions@stagecoachgroup.com to give details of the staff member and an explanation of why they believe the employee deserves to win an award. The deadline for nominations is midnight on Friday 26 May 2017.

The awards are open to employees across Stagecoach’s bus and rail operations in the UK and around 150 staff members have been honoured for their outstanding efforts over the past seven years.
