Eggsciting 10p travel offers for families this Easter

26 Mar 2018

Passengers in Hartlepool and Teesside can make Easter even more ‘eggsciting’ this year with ‘cheeper’ travel opportunities across the region for families.

Stagecoach North East has once again brought on board its popular offer for under 16s to travel for only 10p this Easter, which means great value trips to meet friends or celebrate with family over the holidays.

For last minute Easter egg shopping in town, enjoying a family meal over the Bank Holiday or visiting one of the many 'eggscellent' events in the area, Stagecoach North East is offering youngsters the opportunity to travel all day for just ten pence when they board with a full paying adult.

The region offers a wide range of attractions and places to experience this Easter, including a day out shopping at Teesside Park, a refreshing trip to the beach at Seaton Carew or enjoying popcorn and a movie at Cineworld Middlesbrough. Families can also visit the animals at Newham Grange Country Farm or enjoy competitive fun at Stockton’s Hollywood Bowl.

The popular bus travel for 10p for the under-16s is available from Friday 30th March until Sunday 15th April when bought with an adult Teesside daytripper, Hartlepool dayrider, Teesside/Hartlepool dayrider plus and Teesside/Hartlepool megarider or megarider plus tickets.

Up to two children aged under 16 can travel for just ten pence when they board with a full paying adult, and up to four under five year olds can travel for free. All tickets are available from the driver onboard local Stagecoach North East services.

Nathan Stanislawski, Operations Manager at Stagecoach North East’s Teesside depot in Stockton, said: “At Stagecoach North East, we’re always looking for new ways to benefit the community and improve our passengers’ travel experience.

“Both Teesside and Hartlepool offers families countless opportunities to have enjoyable days out, and we hope this excellent value ticket extends the family fun during the holidays, come rain or shine.”

The 7-day megarider ticket is available for £11.50 in Hartlepool and £12.50 on Teesside. The Teesside and Hartlepool 7-day megarider plus ticket can be purchased on board for £15.50. The dayrider ticket is valid on all Stagecoach buses in Hartlepool for £3.60 and the daytripper is available on Teesside for £4.50. The dayrider plus ticket is £5.30 and allows unlimited travel on all Stagecoach buses throughout Teesside and Hartlepool.
