Stagecoach encourages families to get out and about this summer

23 Jul 2019

Local bus operator, Stagecoach North East, is keen to promote all the region has to offer with its popular ten pence travel offer.

The bargain bus fares are available on Stagecoach buses across the Tees Valley region for young people aged 16 and under, ensuring affordable travel for families making the most of the long summer break.

With the holidays now underway, whether you're shopping in Middlesbrough or Stockton, getting active at Jump 360's indoor trampoline park in Hartlepool or exploring Saltholme Wildlife Reserve and Discovery Park, you can get there with Stagecoach North East, and at a great price.

The travel offer, which allows up to two children under 16 to travel for 10p each when accompanied by an adult ticket holder, is valid now until Sunday 1 September 2019. Additionally, up to four children under five are able to travel free with an adult ticket holder.

Ten pence tickets can be purchased from the driver when using any of the following adult tickets: Teesside daytripper, Hartlepool dayrider, Teesside/Hartlepool dayrider Plus, Teesside megarider, Hartlepool megarider and the Teesside/Hartlepool megarider Plus.

Martin Musther, Operations Manager at Stagecoach North East's Teesside and Hartlepool depots, said: "Summer is a period for families to spend quality time together and explore the many places of interest within our community.

"This promotion allows families to keep the kids entertained during the summer without the hassle of driving or parking, by making the most of the excellent public transport links."

All tickets are available from the driver on board Stagecoach buses across Teesside and Hartlepool. Daily and weekly tickets can also be purchased on the Stagecoach Bus mobile app.
