Stagecoach North Scotland today announced changes to their ticket range allowing students to save even more on bus travel.

The unirider ticket range has been extended to include full term tickets. These tickets are valid from 2nd September 2018 until 29th June 2019 and are available to buy online now. Unirider tickets have previously only been available as 4 week or 13 week tickets. Stagecoach has introduced the term ticket to allow those who travel throughout the full academic year to make an even bigger saving on bus travel.

In Aberdeen city the introduction of the Aberdeen zone 1 term unirider will bring the cost of bus travel for students down to just 94p per day.

This year students in Aberdeenshire will also benefit from the new Aberdeen zone 3 unirider ticket. This ticket offers unlimited travel for students living in Ellon, Inverurie, Banchory or Stonehaven who travel to Aberdeen for college or university and can cost as little as £1.40 per day using the term ticket.

Students in Moray will be able to take advantage of two new tickets with the Elgin City Plus unirider ticket being introduced this year as well as the Moray Coast unirider. These tickets will allow students to save on travel costs when commuting to Moray College.

Following feedback in the recent consultation, unirider tickets have also been introduced in Caithness for the first time. The Caithness unirider ticket is ideal for anyone studying at the North Highland College UHI and is now available to buy online.

David Liston, Managing Director for Stagecoach North Scotland said, “We are delighted to be extending our student ticket range this year. We hope the introduction of the new tickets and longer term tickets will give the students in our area one less thing to worry about and look forward to welcoming them on board our buses."

4-week,13-week and full term tickets are available to buy now online at stagecoachbus.com. Student discount is also available on all Stagecoach day tickets. A valid student ID must be shown to the bus driver when using any student ticket in North Scotland.
