Staff from Stagecoach in Oxfordshire’s depot at Witney will be cycling 242 miles outside Witney’s Helen & Douglas House shop to raise money for the children and young adults’ hospice in Oxford.
The drivers will be cycling the 242 miles, which is the combined total distance of routes covered by buses from the Witney depot, on exercise bikes outside the Witney shop from 10am-12pm on the 28th of June.
Stagecoach staff voted for Helen & Douglas House as their chosen charity and the event adds to the raffles, fun days, advertising and other events that staff across Oxford, Witney and Banbury depots have already been involved in for Helen & Douglas House.
Karen Coventry, Business Development Manager for Stagecoach said: ‘We are delighted to be supporting Helen & Douglas House as our chosen charity. Our staff have been keen to get on board and raise money for this excellent Oxfordshire charity. We are very proud of staff at Witney taking part in the static bike challenge and it is one of many events which we will be organising this year.’
Suzi Attree, Corporate Account Manager at Helen & Douglas House, said: ‘Stagecoach are brilliant in their support of Helen & Douglas House, with enthusiastic and energetic staff getting involved in so many fun events that are also raising money for the children, young adults and families that we support throughout Oxfordshire. It’s thanks to companies like them that families don’t have to face the unthinkable alone’.
