Green Week winner announced for Oxfordshire

04 Jun 2015

Stagecoach’s national Green Week competition, which ran from 11 – 31 May 2015, invited entrants to answer a simple question about Stagecoach’s environmental impact.

Out of 5, 270 entries, Jennifer Shelton from Chinnor was announced as the winner in the Oxfordshire region. The prize was a year’s free travel across the network, including local bus and the Oxford Tube.

Jennifer was presented with her annual pass prize by Oxford Tube Manager, David Rouse, and she commented, “This is a fantastic prize – I was delighted to have been selected! I commute to London every day on the Oxford Tube so I couldn’t be much more of a bigger bus user! It was one of those things where I just entered on the off chance and never expected I would win.”

Karen Coventry, Business Development Manager for Stagecoach in Oxfordshire, said, “Most people are aware of climate change and do their bit for the environment, but Green Week is a chance to get everyone engaged in making greener and smarter choices, especially when it comes to travel.”

Green Week is an annual Stagecoach initiative which aims to raise awareness of ways to reduce your carbon footprint and making greener, smarter travel choices.
