New Operations Manager behind the wheel at Oxford Tube

New Oxford Tube Operations Manager  

Oxford Tube has announced Rob Hough as its new Operations Manager. Rob, from Thame, has been working with Stagecoach in Oxfordshire for 10 years when he joined as a driver in 2007. For the past year he has been the Oxford Deport Assistant Operations Manager.

The Oxford Tube offers customers coach services to and from London up to every 10 minutes, 24 hours a day. Rob will be responsible for overseeing the entire operation, which covers a fleet of 26 coaches and 88 drivers.

During his time with Stagecoach in Oxfordshire Rob has worked as a driver before progressing to Oxford Tube Operations Controller. He then went on to complete the Stagecoach Staff Development programme, gaining experience within other Stagecoach depots across the country.

Martin Sutton, Stagecoach in Oxfordshire Managing Director, said: “We are delighted that Rob will be leading the Oxford Tube operation from next month. With his experience as Assistant Operations Manager at the Oxford Depot and as a driver for the Oxford Tube we are confident he will continue to ensure the Oxford Tube provides a reliable service for our customers".

Rob will be based at the Stagecoach depot on Horspath Road in Oxfordshire where he will report directly into Paul O'Callaghan, Service Delivery Director.

Rob said: " I am excited about the new challenge that Operations Manager will bring. The Oxford Tube is a fantastic service and one that I am very proud to lead.
