Student goes home for free with Stagecoach in Oxfordshire

16 Jan 2018

Stagecoach in Oxfordshire has announced the winner of its annual student giveaway. Phoebe Jacobson (20), who is in her final year studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University, was the lucky recipient of the Oxford Tube annual pass prize  after redeeming a voucher on board the Oxford Tube.

At the University's Fresher's Fair last year, students at Brookes and Oxford University were offered £5 return vouchers to travel on the Oxford Tube.  Upon use of the voucher, students could fill in their email address to be entered into the prize draw to win a year's free travel.

Over 700 entries were handed to Oxford Tube coach drivers and the winning ticket was picked at random.

Phoebe said: “I am so pleased to win! The Oxford Tube is a great service that has been invaluable to me during my years at Oxford, allowing me to travel affordably and comfortably between my home and university during term time.”

Karen Coventry, Stagecoach in Oxfordshire, Business Development Manager, said: “We’re delighted that Phoebe will be able to use the prize to travel between home and her place of study. And,  importantly, also help to lessen the student costs in her final year of studies.  We look forward to seeing Phoebe on board soon!”
