Stagecoach Oxfordshire staff were celebrating at the weekend after being recognised for clocking up over a thousand years – 1250 to be exact - worth of service between them.
The group made up of drivers, engineers, depot and office staff were congratulated by Martin Sutton, Stagecoach in Oxfordshire Managing Director, at the company’s annual Long Service Awards dinner at the weekend (Saturday 9 June).
A total of 54 employees were recognised for long service contribution of 20 years and more meaning that one in 10 employees at Stagecoach in Oxfordshire have worked for the company for a minimum of 20 years. Those in attendance at the presentation evening, held at the De Vere Oxford Thames Hotel, were presented with a commemorative badge and treated to a three-course dinner to mark the occasion.
Commenting on the awards, Martin Sutton said “We are always so happy to honour those who have worked with us for a long time and this year is certainly no exception. With 8 employees achieving 30 years, 18 celebrating 25 and 28 member of staff marking 20 years, this demonstrates that Stagecoach has a loyal team of drivers, engineers, depot and office staff and we are delighted to reward their success with an award ceremony and dinner.”
