21 Jun 2022

Stagecoach West is pleased to announce a number of improvements to its Oxford Tube service. The changes, designed to support passenger growth as the company prepares for its first ‘normal’ summer following the pandemic will come into effect on Monday 20th June 2022.

The service will benefit from increased weekday evening journeys, additional afternoon peak journeys on Fridays and an extended service on Saturdays. Four additional vehicles have also been added to the fleet to facilitate the increase to services.

The Oxford Tube operates between Gloucester Green Bus Station in Oxford and London Victoria.

Rachel Geliamassi, Managing Director, Stagecoach West which operates the Oxford Tube says: “We’re delighted to be introducing these updates to our ever-popular Oxford Tube service as we see people flock back to the Capital and beautiful Oxford now we’re free from restrictions.

These improvements to our timetable will provide customers with more departure choices and a greater degree of flexibility, making it easier for people to enjoy travel over the holiday period as the leisure market returns to normal.

We’re really encouraged to see customers return and are also excited to be welcoming new customers on board as confidence is growing with people getting out and about and experiencing new things.”
