In line with the latest government guidance, we've put in place further measures in England to help customers practice social distancing. This includes limiting the available seats on buses.

Face coverings are compulsory when using public transport in England and Scotland. In Wales you must wear a 3 layer face covering on public transport and put it on before travelling unless you are exempt. It is also now compulsory to wear face coverings when using indoor public transport hubs in England only.

Smart reward for Stagecoach customers

Local bus company Stagecoach is giving away a year’s free bus travel, worth £910, to one lucky smartcard customer.

Smartcards make it easier for people to buy and use their bus tickets. A range of period tickets are available on smartcard which can be purchased both on the bus and online.

Philip Norwell, managing director of Stagecoach South East said: “We’re delighted to offer our smartcard customers the chance to win this valuable prize. By registering their own smartcard our customers can benefit from added security and the convenience of purchasing their bus ticket online.”

All customers who have a registered smartcard by 15th November will be automatically entered into the prize draw. The winner will be announced on the Stagecoach website.
