Coronavirus Update Close

In line with the latest government guidance, we've put in place further measures in England to help customers practice social distancing. This includes limiting the available seats on buses.

Face coverings are compulsory when using public transport in England and Scotland. In Wales you must wear a 3 layer face covering on public transport and put it on before travelling unless you are exempt. It is also now compulsory to wear face coverings when using indoor public transport hubs in England only.

The safety of our customers and employees is our priority, so please avoid busy times, use contactless payment and take your litter with you. For up to date information see our Coronavirus page

Vintage bus helps lifeboat charity

13 Jan 2016

Stagecoach has donated the proceeds from the town’s vintage Christmas bus service to the local RNLI lifeboat station.

The Christmas bus was an initiative between Stagecoach and Eastbourne’s Chamber of Commerce. The service provided a link between the bandstand, town hall and town centre and operated for a week in mid December during the Neon Noel and Christmas market festivities.

Stagecoach charged just £1 a ride with all the proceeds going to the Eastbourne RNLI. A total of £159 was raised.

Paul Metcalfe, Eastbourne’s Lifeboat operations manager said “We welcome all the support we get, particularly when local businesses get together to do something in the community. It was a great idea to run the Christmas bus and we were delighted to hear that we were to receive the proceeds.”
