Stagecoach has announced that Eastbourne’s iconic land train, Dotto will return in time for the Easter holidays.
Returning on Saturday 1st April and running until 1st October, the bus operator has announced the tourist attraction’s return following a phenomenal season last year which saw its service extended due to its popularity with locals and tourists.
Customers can travel on the service all day long for just £5, with children travelling for £2.50. Allowing passengers to hop on and off all day to explore the Sunshine Coast.
Last year’s season saw over 13,000 passengers on Dotto. And this year, the local operations team hope to give another boost to the town’s tourism.
The land train had a renovation last year, updating its livery to honour the seaside town. Featuring Eastbourne’s cliffs, the pier and the aircrafts seen at the famous Eastbourne Airbourne show.
Dotto’s return will see it operate its route from Holywell Retreat to Sovereign Harbour, with plenty of places for passengers to stop off along the way to explore the seafront.
Operations Manager, James Aunger-Third spoke of his excitement for Dotto’s return: “We are thrilled that Dotto will be returning on 1st April. We’re proud to run a service that means so much to the locals, whilst giving a boost to Eastbourne’s tourist economy.
“Our colleagues have been working incredibly hard ahead of its return and our recruitment drive for conductors has been extremely popular.”
