Service 50 and 56 improved to run every 20 minutes

09 Dec 2015

New improved timetables are being introduced by Stagecoach in South Wales, on routes 50 & 56, serving Bargoed, Caerphilly, Tredegar, Markham, Blackwood, Ynysddu, Cwmfelinfach, Crosskeys, Risca & Newport, with more buses running up to every 20 minutes.

Nigel Winter, Managing Director for Stagecoach in South Wales said "With Friars Walk Shopping Centre in Newport now open, and our services 50 & 56 stopping at the adjacent Market Square Bus Station, it couldn’t be more convenient to catch the bus with our new timetable offering more bus journeys. As Christmas approaches this is a good time to remind travellers that the bus is the greener way to travel. Avoid the traffic queues and the cost and hassle of finding a car parking space by using the bus. Regular travellers can enjoy great savings of up to 16% when buying their ticket online with Stagecoach Smart"

The new timetables will start on Monday 14th December, full details along with ticket prices  can be obtained from the company’s website:

Buses on route 56 will continue to run between Tredegar and Blackwood every hour.
