Stagecoach 56 service on diversion during Exeter airport roadworks

22 Dec 2014

  • From 5th January 2015, for approximately 6 weeks, the road between the A30 and Exeter Airport will be open in one direction only.
  • For the duration of this closure the 56 Service will operate a special timetable.

Stagecoach South West confirmed today (22nd December) that, for the duration of the upcoming A30 to Exeter Airport roadworks, it will be necessary for the 56 service to operate a special emergency timetable.

For the duration of the Exeter airport road works the road between the A30 and Exeter Airport will be open in one direction only. This closure will be in place from Monday 5th January for approximately 6 weeks. Whilst journeys from Exeter to Exmouth will be unaffected, the journeys between Exmouth and Exeter will have to operate a diversion route, and a special timetable will be available with full details of the changes. Customers are advised to check their times of travel as some journeys, especially during the early morning, may leave earlier than the current timetable.

Customers travelling from Exmouth and Woodbury who wish to go to the airport will have to change onto an awaiting shuttle bus at the Greendale Business Park.

Finally, for the duration of the closure, unfortunately not all of the normal services will be able to serve St David’s Station. Services 5A/5B/55B/H/X9 provide alternatives from Exeter Bus Station .

The special timetable will be available online, at the bus stops and in print very shortly. For travel information on the go customers can now follow Stagecoach on Twitter @StagecoachSW.
