31 Dec 2015

  • Bus operator announces January sale on Stagecoach Gold 57, connecting Exeter and Exmouth
  • Savings of up to 38% available on select single, return and weekly tickets
  • Weekly ticket 22% cheaper than going by train

Stagecoach South West has announced today January sale bargains for customers using its luxury Gold 57 service, connecting Exeter and Exmouth.

From 3rd January 2016 and until the end of the month fares are being slashed on the route, with discounts of up to 38% available on select single, return and weekly tickets.

The cost of a return ticket between Exeter and Exmouth will fall from £7.50 to £5.50 (over 25% off). A weekly ‘Routerider’, valid for unlimited travel along the entire 57 route, will cost just £20, saving 23% on the cost of a Megarider Gold – and making it 22% cheaper than a weekly train ticket between Exeter and Exmouth.

Customers will also see reductions in price on journeys between Exeter and Lympstone with the single fare reduced to £2.50 and the return to £4.20, saving up to 38% on the cost of travel.

In November, Stagecoach unveiled a fleet of new, luxury buses for the 57 route, providing customers with free Wi-Fi, USB charging and leather seats with extra legroom. The announcement of the January sale prices means customers will be able to travel in style for even less.

Robert Williams, Commercial Director at Stagecoach South West, said: “I am delighted to announce these savings for our customers which will make travel on our buses even more attractive.”
