Money-conscious university students in Plymouth can make considerable savings on their transport this year thanks to the launch of Stagecoach’s latest Unirider.

The Plymouth Unirider provides unlimited, discounted travel within the Plymouth city zone from as little as 90p per day*. The Unirider is available to students at the University of Plymouth, the University of St Mark and St John and Plymouth College of Art and they can choose to pay by term or for the full academic year.

As well as the Plymouth Unirider, students can also buy Unirider Gold, which provides unlimited, discounted travel across the whole of the operator’s Devon bus network.

Stagecoach will be promoting Unirider at freshers’ fairs at Plymouth University (22 September) and Marjons (23 September) where students can also enter a draw to win an annual ticket.

Bob Dennison, Managing director of Stagecoach South West, said:

“I’m delighted we’re launching a Unirider for the Plymouth zone. Buying this ticket means students don’t have to worry about how to cover their travel costs across the academic year, leaving them free to explore everything Plymouth has to offer.”

Students can buy Unirider online at www.stagecoachbus.com/unirider and they must show valid student ID alongside their ticket when travelling.

*Price based on annual Plymouth unirider valid from 19 September 2016 to 23 June 2017. Prices in other regions may vary.
