In line with the latest government guidance, we've put in place further measures in England to help customers practice social distancing. This includes limiting the available seats on buses.

Face coverings are compulsory when using public transport in England and Scotland. In Wales you must wear a 3 layer face covering on public transport and put it on before travelling unless you are exempt. It is also now compulsory to wear face coverings when using indoor public transport hubs in England only.

STAGECOACH WELCOME NEW MANAGERS TO THE SOUTH COAST

Stagecoach South have appointed new assistant operations managers for their depots at Portsmouth & Worthing.

Armitage McDougallMike Armitage will be based at the Portsmouth depot, whilst Martin McDougall will take up his new role in Worthing.

Mike, a Yorkshire man with Scottish roots, joined Stagecoach in 2005 as a driver at Stagecoach West in Cheltenham, before promotion saw Mike rise to Mentor, Leading Driver, Supervisor and Relief Quality Inspector. Following completion of the Staff Development Programme, Mike had spent some time with Stagecoach South Wales where held the position of acting assistant operations manager in Cwmbran before moving to Portsmouth,

Mike said of his appointment: "I’m very excited to be taking on the role at Portsmouth Depot and I’m looking forward to working with a team of committed people in order to continue delivering quality bus travel and good customer service with the intention of attracting more customers on to our network ".

Martin, originally from Dunfermline started working for Stagecoach in 2013. He quickly progressed to supervisor before completing the Staff development programme, earning him his first appointment as Assistant Operations Manager role at Dunfermline, Fife Scotland a position he held before moving to Worthing, West Sussex.

In his spare time, Martin enjoys snowboarding, trail riding and motor bikes. Speaking of his appointment, Martin said " I'm looking forward to working with an established team of committed people in order to continue the delivery of  quality bus travel, provide good customer service and welcoming new people on board our buses."
