The route 7 runs from High Salvington to Lancing via Worthing town centre and is run by Compass Travel on behalf of Stagecoach.

Managing Director of Compass, Chris Chatfield, said: “We are incredibly proud of our new vehicles, and this is good news for our customers. Route 7 provides essential cross town links for the communities of Worthing and Lancing. We're very pleased to have worked with Stagecoach to secure these latest buses which represent a further investment by ourselves to local bus transport in the area".

Chris also confirmed that the new buses meet the latest exhaust emissions requirements, so will improve air quality in the area.

The commercial partnership between the two bus operators was introduced in 2012 and was the first Stagecoach service to be franchised in the South.

Edward Hodgson, Managing Director of Stagecoach South welcomed this positive investment saying  “This has proved to be a successful partnership with Compass Travel who provide a high standard of service. Route 7 continues to be an important part of the Stagecoach bus network and this latest investment further demonstrates our continued commitment to making even more improvements for customers. We have recently launched a new app, featuring mobile ticketing and bus tracking to complement our comprehensive website and I hope even more People will discover the benefits of bus travel"
