Stagecoach

New ticket prices from 22nd January 2017

18 Jan 2017

Following a review of our fares, there will be some new ticket prices for customers travelling across Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex.

New fares are being rolled out from Sunday 22nd January 2017.  This is the first time the company has reviewed ticket prices since May 2015.

Edward Hodgson, Managing Director for Stagecoach South commented "We have done our best to protect our customers by keeping prices as low as possible and while some fares will increase, many will remain at current prices."

"Stagecoach has three times been independently found to have the best value bus fares  in Britain and we have taken action to hold our prices for as long as possible despite  the fact that bus industry costs have been rising at a higher rate than inflation over  several years".

Stagecoach continues to offer great value fares, particularly for regular travellers with a range of dayrider and weekly Megarider tickets available, which offer unlimited  bus travel within the towns and cities across the area. Longer period tickets, available online, offer even greater savings.

The network wide Adult Megarider Gold ticket, will be priced at just £23, offering 7 days unlimited Stagecoach bus travel across Bracknell Forest, Brighton, Hampshire, Surrey, West Sussex, West Berkshire, Wiltshire and Wokingham.

A new child Dayrider ticket will be introduced for Guildford & Godalming, priced at £3.50.

Prices for Andover and Portsmouth Dayriders plus Bognor Regis, Waterlooville & Hayling Island 7 Day Megariders as well as ALL Termriders and Uniriders will remain unchanged.

Nightrider tickets, for unlimited travel after 7pm, will be priced at £2.50.

Edward added " Even with these latest changes, bus travel remains significantly cheaper than commuting by car.  Our bus services continue to offer a greener, smarter and better value way to travel. We are continuing to use the money we get from fares to reinvest in improvements for our customers including new vehicles, WiFi, smart ticketing, real time bus information, a comprehensive website and more recently we have introduced a new app featuring mobile ticketing".
