Melanie heads operations in new manager appointment at Worthing depot

Melanie Keylock takes leading role at Stagecoach's Worthing depot

Mel webMelanie Keylock, a graduate from Manchester, has recently been appointed as Operations Manager at Worthing depot.

Following a blossoming legal career, Melanie opted to change career paths in 2015 and joined the Stagecoach Group Graduate training scheme. The two year Graduate scheme is a generalist leadership programme, developing skills in a number of areas including operations, HR, finance and strategy.

Rising through the ranks at an impressive rate, Melanie has since held two managerial positions at Stagecoach South, Andover and Stagecoach East, Peterborough.

Her first role at the busy depot was to mastermind Stagecoach South’s sponsorship and participation in Worthing Pride 2019, working closely with her team to create a Pride Bus – complete with colourful printing on each side – to join this year’s parade.

Melanie will now be responsible for further developing the Worthing depot – a key hub for the region – by focusing on its strategic growth and strengthening relationships with the wider community.

Melanie Keylock said: “I’m delighted to be joining such a critical depot to the Stagecoach South network. Stagecoach South has provided me with a wonderful environment to grow in the last four years, and I am very much looking forward to this new challenge.

“I particularly look forward to getting to know the team and building relationships with the key stakeholders, to ensure we work closely together to further help Worthing’s many bus users by giving them the most convenient, reliable and comfortable service possible.”

Melanie will report to Gordon Frost, Operations Director of Stagecoach South.

Gordon said: “Melanie’s track record within Stagecoach Group is hugely impressive. We take great pride in developing extraordinary talent from our Graduate Programme to take positions of leadership across our network, and so I am delighted to welcome her to the Stagecoach South team. The fact that she has risen to such a position in one of our most important depots is reflective of her skill, experience and dedication.”
