Stagecoach South have recently appointed Tony Probert as their new Engineering Director.
Tony, who resides in Southampton, Hampshire, joined Stagecoach in 1998 as a shift fitter at Winchester and following completion of the Stagecoach Staff Development program, his career developed. He has since held an Assistant Engineering Manager post and a number of Engineering Manager positions with the Company before taking on the Interim Engineering Director role in December last year.
He will take up his new role officially on July 1st.
More recently, Tony has been instrumental in the project management of new technologies, including the upgrade of 37 buses in Portsmouth to meet the Euro VI emission standard in support of Portsmouth City Council's Clean air zone and was project lead for Stagecoach South on the introduction of Green Road’s low bridge alert system that is currently being rolled out nationally across the Stagecoach UK business.

Stagecoach South operate a fleet of 500 buses from 9 depot sites serving the communities of Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex.
