In line with the latest government guidance, we've put in place further measures in England to help customers practice social distancing. This includes limiting the available seats on buses.
Face coverings are compulsory when using public transport in England and Scotland. In Wales you must wear a 3 layer face covering on public transport and put it on before travelling unless you are exempt. It is also now compulsory to wear face coverings when using indoor public transport hubs in England only.

Changes are coming to Swindon on services 4, 6 , 8 , 9, 10, 71, 80, 81 with a new route from Tadpole Garden Village to the town centre, which will help in reducing journey times, aiming to make commuting easier.
Brief highlight of changes:
New Service 4!
Service 4 will run from the town centre to Tadpole Garden Village and St Andrew's Ridge. Buses will run every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday during the day. Perfect for commuting or a little retail therapy!
This service will be replaced by the new service 10.
This service will be replaced by new service 10 between Freshbook and the Town centre. For anyone travelling between the town centre, hospital and Chiseldon please use services 80 and 81.
Service 9 will see a route change between Old Town and Wroughton with buses operating via Wichelstowe. The frequency has been improved so that buses now run every 15 minutes Monday to Saturday during the day.
Service 10 will connect Freshbrook and Kingsdown, calling at Link Centre, Designer Outlet, town centre, Gorse Hill. These buses will run every 10 minutes Monday to Saturday during the day and every 30 minutes on Sundays. There will be a bus every hour during the evening on Mondays to Saturdays.
This service will be replaced by the new service 81 and changes to service 9.
There are minor changes to the Timetable throughout the day in order to improve punctuality.
This new route will operate between the town centre, the hospital, Chiseldon, Thorney Park and Wroughton. Together with service 80 buses will run up to every hour between the town centre, hospital and Chiseldon.
Fares start from just £1.40. Don't forget that our Dayrider and Travel pass weekly tickets are valid on most buses across Swindon - so just pay once and travel all day!
