Last stop is the bus stop for Barnsley night owls!

28 Jan 2015

Barnsley night owls don’t have to take flight too early from a night out in the town centre – thanks to Stagecoach Yorkshire’s Night Bus services.

Those enjoying the town’s night life can stay out later for less thanks to a £2.50 single fare on each of Stagecoach’s two Night Bus routes, with buses running from Barnsley Interchange every hour between 12.25am and 3.25am across Saturday night/Sunday morning.

The N27 service runs from the interchange to Grimethorpe, via Lundwood, Cudworth, Shafton, Brierley and Nancy Crescent.

The N66 service runs from the interchange to Elsecar via Worsbrough, Birdwell and Hoyland.

Paul Lynch, Stagecoach Yorkshire managing director, said: “For those out and about in Barnsley on a Saturday night, our Night Bus is their route home after midnight.

“It offers passengers who enjoy visiting pub and clubs a convenient, safe and affordable way home.

“Our message to Barnsley folk enjoying a night out in the town centre is – let Stagecoach Yorkshire be your designated driver.”

Anyone interested in the Night Bus service should visit the Stagecoach Yorkshire website to use the journey planner and download a timetable -
