The safety of our customers and employees is our priority, so please avoid busy times, use contactless payment and take your litter with you. For up to date information see our Coronavirus page

New bus service is just the job for workers

15 Jan 2015

Stagecoach Yorkshire is helping to take the stress out of travelling for commuters with a new service offering faster transport links to popular employment areas between Barnsley and Doncaster.

The transport operator’s newly launched X20 service connects Barnsley, Wombwell, Manvers, Mexborough, Conisbrough and Doncaster running hourly on Mondays to Saturdays. By running as a limited stop service, it will offer a quicker and more direct commute.

The new X20 service follows Stagecoach Yorkshire’s previous announcement earlier this month that it was introducing additional journeys and timetable changes on a number of popular routes.

Paul Lynch, managing director, Stagecoach Yorkshire, said: “We’re introducing these improvements to expand and enhance people’s travel options in the local community.

“We know how important the journey to and from work is for the region’s employees and employers alike, so it is great to be introducing a new service to benefit both.

“A reliable and efficient bus route can really help take the stress out of journeys to and from work, plus the X20 also has free wifi allowing passengers to catch up on work-related emails, or simply surf the web for entertainment and to relax.”
