Teams to pass go with Stagecoach for charity Monopoly Challenge

05 Jul 2016

Free bus and tram travel is being offered to fundraisers taking part in the 2016 DLA Piper Monopoly Challenge in Sheffield.

Leading operator Stagecoach in Sheffield is providing travel passes to businesses who have signed up to the annual event, which is raising money for the Master Cutler’s Charities of the Year – Rotherham Hospice and St Luke’s Hospice.

The travel passes will be available to use on all Stagecoach buses and trams between 6pm and 8pm on Thursday 14 July during the event.

The life-sized version of the game challenges teams of up to five people to visit city landmarks using only public transport and people power, collecting as much Monopoly money as possible in just two hours.

Matt Davies, managing director of Stagecoach Yorkshire, said: “We’re proud to be, once again, supporting this unique event and helping to raise money for two fantastic local charities.

“With just two hours to visit as many places as possible across Sheffield city centre, we hope that our free travel passes will help teams to collect lots of money, as well as avoid fines, taxes and jail along the way!”
