National lockdown restrictions are in place across England. Until 2 December, you should only travel for work, education or other permitted reasons. From 2 December England will be returning to a 3 Tier System. Find out more about local restrictions.

A tiered system of protection levels is in operation across Scotland. So, if you need to travel, make sure you're up-to-date with what's happening in your area by checking the local government guidance.

We've put in place measures to allow you to travel safely including limiting available seats on buses and enhanced cleaning. Unless you’re exempt, you must wear a face covering throughout your journey. Please avoid busy times, use contactless payment where you can, keep your distance and take your litter with you. Cheap student travel with Stagecoach saver ticket


Sheffield students can spring into the new term with a series of special Stagecoach bus and tram tickets.


Valid from 4 April, Stagecoach’s Unirider tickets offer students at The University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University discounted bus and Supertram travel across the city.


The Stagecoach Sheffield Bus only Unirider, priced at £70, the Stagecoach Sheffield Tram Unirider for £84 and the £105 Stagecoach Sheffield Bus and Tram Unirider can be purchased online and are valid until 19 June with an NUS student ID card.


Paul Lynch, managing director of Stagecoach Yorkshire, said: “Many students rely on public transport to travel to and from university, meet up with friends or enjoy a night out.


“Our Unirider tickets provide unlimited journeys on Stagecoach buses and Supertram services across Sheffield from £1.36 a day and take away the stress and hassle of budgeting for weekly travel.”
