Carer Dan wins free travel with ‘essential’ Stagecoach services
A carer who uses ‘essential’ Stagecoach Yorkshire buses to help his clients enjoy days out in the Barnsley community has won a travel competition.
Dan Bray (31), has won four weeks of travel tickets with Stagecoach Yorkshire as part of the Stagecoach Cares competition campaign which aimed to show how the transport operator cares in different ways such as value for money, customer satisfaction and reliability.
Stagecoach staff hit the streets of Barnsley during the campaign to hand out goodies and collect real life customer stories about how people use Stagecoach buses to get to and look after the things they care about.
Dan’s winning entry was: “As a carer I find Stagecoach buses an essential part of job security as I use them for work in Barnsley and Sheffield.
“They also allow me and my colleague to take clients out and about in the community for enjoyable days out."
On winning his free travel pass, Dan said: “I have used Stagecoach buses to take clients I was looking after to places like the Metrodome and Monk Bretton.
“One of the clients was in a wheelchair and the Stagecoach drivers were always really helpful, friendly and very professional – they always offer to help as much as they can.
“I’ll use the free travel prize to get me to things like football matches and other leisure activities and hobbies I enjoy.”
