When Sian and Joe Caldwell were faced with the propect of transporting over 200 family and friends from their wedding on Saturday 14th May 2016, they came up with the idea of asking Supertram to help them out.
We provided our heritage liveried tram 120 to transport them and their guests from the Cathedral to Shalesmoor.
This is what Sian had to say about her special day:
"I would like to thank all at Supertram for the fantastic service we received for our wedding transport. We looked into hiring a private tram after realising that where we were getting married and our wedding reception were both relatively close to a tram stop. It was a convenient and cheap way of transporting almost 200 people!
The staff were informative and communicative during the build up to the wedding and I had no concerns whatsoever that it wouldn't run smoothly.
The tram was a hit on the wedding day! It was fun parading down Fargate in our wedding attire and waiting at the tram stop for our special 'wedding' tram.
It was unique and in keeping with our Sheffield themed day.
The children especially loved going on the tram, particularly those that had never been on a tram before.
I am so glad that I chose to hire a tram and would recommend it anybody thinking of doing it as part of their wedding celebrations".
