High fives as Stagecoach launches £5 seasonal ticket!
Five people will be able to travel for just £5 on any Stagecoach bus in Sheffield at the weekend this winter following the launch of a special group ticket.
From this Saturday, 12 November, Stagecoach is introducing the new £5 ticket, which is valid all day on any Saturday or Sunday until the end of January 2017.
It can be used by any group of up to five people such as families with adults and children, students, friends and work colleagues.
Stagecoach in Sheffield operates an extensive network of local bus services in and around the city which are all low-floor to provide easy access for wheelchair users and passengers with buggies.
Matt Davies, managing director of Stagecoach Yorkshire, said: “The new 5 for a Fiver ticket offers great value for money and is aimed at getting more people in Sheffield using public transport in the run up to the festive season, which traditionally can be an expensive time of year.
“It’s available for any combination of up to five people - families going Christmas shopping, friends on a night out or work colleagues heading out to a Christmas party and is designed to take away the hassle and costs of parking or travelling by taxi.
“The ticket also extends into the new year offering a great value travel option for those visiting the city centre or destinations like Hillsborough and Crystal Peaks for January sale shopping.”
