On Friday 22 February 2019, Sheffield will see a unique flyover of US and Royal Air Force aircraft from Endcliffe Park. This is to mark 75 years since the Mi Amigo disaster.
From the start of service to 12 noon on the this date, Supertram will be offering FREE TRAM TRAVEL to current serving members of the Forces when forces ID is presented, along with Veterans displaying a Veteran’s Badge.
Buses for Sheffield are also offering free travel on bus servieces 6, 81, 82, 83, 83a and 88, as well as the 10 and 10a towards Endcliffe for people who are carrying their service personnel cards. These services provide a bus around every five minutes from the City Centre to Endcliffe Park. You can see where to catch these services when connecting with trams using the map below.
As there will be no car parking at Endcliffe Park, people are encouraged to travel to the event using public transport. It is recommended to arrive at the park from around 7.15am, a memorial service will take place from around 8am with the flypast set to follow at 8.45am.
