Stagecoach Yorkshire has announced minor changes to some services in Barnsley and the Dearne Valley to improve punctuality on a number of services. These changes will come into effect from Sunday 3rd March 2019.
On Service 66 between Barnsley, Hoyland and Elsecar, a new later departure time of 23:40 has been provided from Barnsley following customer requests. The new later service will operate 7 days a week.
Service 107 between Rotherham and Swinton has been revised to run via Nether Haugh and upper Haugh instead of Rawmarsh Hill to improve the punctuality of the service. Following customer feedback, the service will now operate on a hail and ride basis along Lime Grove, stopping at any safe point.
Rotherham Interchange will also reopen following the completion of renovation work. All services will return to using the interchange instead of Forge Island.
Minor changes have been made to some journeys on service 6, 7, 9, 21a, 24, 57, 59, 219/219a, 220, 221 and X17 to improve punctuality throughout the day.
Matt Davies, Stagecoach Yorkshire managing director, said: “We regularly use customer feedback to shape and improve our services.”
“Our extended and enhanced services will help make getting to school, work and leisure activities easier for our customers.”
