Customers praise the ‘fantastic’ new Stagecoach Gold X1 Chesterfield to Nottingham service
The new Stagecoach Gold Express X1 bus connecting residents of Chesterfield, Clay Cross, Alfreton, South Normanton and Nottingham, including a new link from Nottingham to East Midlands Designer Outlet has been labelled ‘Fantastic’ by customers.
The service launched on 27th October and in the first week more than 4,200 customers hopped on board for just 1 penny (offer ended 2nd November).
Commenting on the company’s Facebook page customers were happy with the new Stagecoach Gold luxury double decker bus, which includes Free Wifi. One customer said: “What a great service, lovely double deckers, extremely quick”
Another customer who had travelled during the first week of service said: “Me and my daughter went on the first X1 to Nottingham. Friendly drivers really enjoyed both trips. Very good service and will recommend and travel again to Nottingham. Thank you Stagecoach “
The Stagecoach Gold service aims to provide an attractive travel experience for people heading into Nottingham for just £23 per week using the megarider Gold 7 day ticket (also valid on Pronto bus journeys). Deluxe e-leather seats, free on board Wifi and easy contactless payments on board make journeys relaxing and easy.
The express, limited stop route means that customers can get to their destination quickly, with just a few stopping points along the route including East Midlands Designer Outlet, Phoenix Business Park and Victoria Bus Station just next to the INTU Victoria Centre and a short walk from Nottingham Trent University.
Stagecoach is also encouraging customers to try its new, improved Stagecoach Bus App where you can buy day or week tickets and track your bus live on a map, so you will always know exactly where your bus is on its route.
Stagecoach Yorkshire, managing director, Matt Davies, commented “We’re really thrilled that so many people took advantage of the special offer week to try the new Stagecoach Gold X1 to see how easy catching the bus is and we’re proud to be connecting communities with the places they want to visit.”
