Half price bus and tram tickets for families this Half Term with Stagecoach

Stagecoach Yorkshire and Stagecoach Supertram are helping families make the most of their school holidays this half term with half price family travel.


From Saturday 26 October until Sunday 3 November the popular Family Explorer ticket, which is valid for 2 adults and up to 3 children travelling on all Stagecoach buses and the Sheffield Supertram in South and West Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire will be reduced to just £5.75. The Supertram Family dayrider will also be reduced to just £4.50 during the Half Term week.  


The Supertram Family ticket allows families in Sheffield and Rotherham access to the whole Supertram network, including Meadowhall, iceSheffield, Pondsforge Sports Centre and the recently extended route to Parkgate Shopping Cente.


Families travelling by Stagecoach bus can enjoy days out far and wide across the region. From a trip to Leeds to a day out at Chatsworth House or Matlock, the Family Explorer day ticket gives access to hundreds of places for a fun filled family day out. Stagecoach operate buses throughout Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster and Chesterfield plus services to Leeds, Nottingham and North Derbyshire. So whether it’s a trip to the local swimming baths or a family day out in the countryside, the Family Explorer ticket can get you there.


Speaking about the offer, Stagecoach Yorkshire MD, Matt Davies said: “Whilst budgets are squeezed across the country for families and people of all ages, here at Stagecoach we are happy to be able to make it a little easier for families in our region to get out and enjoy this half term holiday.


“Customers can just hop on board a bus or tram to buy their family ticket or download the improved new Stagecoach Bus App where you can plan journeys and even buy tickets.”
