Face coverings are compulsory when using public transport in England and Scotland. In Wales it is compulsory to wear a three layer face covering on public transport. It is also now compulsory to wear face coverings when using indoor public transport hubs in England only.

Due to rail replacement work taking place between Gleadless Townend and Spring Lane, trams are unable to operate between Halfway and Sheffield Station from Saturday 25 July - Friday 14 September 2020*
*Please note that dates are subject to change. Due to additional work sites being added to the programme, Area 3 has been extended to 14 September rather than 01 September. Area 4 is now planned to commence on 15 September - further details will be available nearer the time.
Blue Route services are operating between Malin Bridge – Sheffield Station on a revised timetable.
Purple Route services are not operating during Area 3.
Yellow Route services are operating the normal route between Meadowhall - Middlewood to the normal timetable.
Tram Train services are operating the normal route between Cathedral - Rotherham Parkgate on a revised timetable.
Revised tram timetables are in operation due to rail replacement, they can be found on our timetables page.
From Saturday 25 July 2020, Powells Bus Company is operating the BL2 bus service on behalf of South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive. This service will operate between Commercial Street in the city centre and Halfway.

To help provide valuable travel options to key workers at this time, Stagecoach will accept Tram Only tickets on buses in Sheffield.
