Staying Safe

We are busy preparing our services to welcome students back on board in September. We operate an enhanced cleaning regime on all vehicles, paying special attention to the key touch points including handrails, bells, seats and poles.

Government restrictions in the UK may change between now and when you travel with us, but we will continue to follow the latest advice and take necessary measures in support of the safety and wellbeing of our passengers. School is going to be slightly different for a while, but we can assure you that we will do everything we can to make travelling a safe experience for everyone.

We may need to change or adapt some elements of our plans as the situation changes in the UK. Please ensure you check this page regularly for any updates as we will add additional information as more is known.

FAQs:

Q. Do students have to socially distance on the bus?

A. Students should always try to socially distance at least one metre, but this is not always possible onboard.  Specific school bus services do not specify social distancing requirements.

Q. Do students need to wear face coverings on the bus?

A. Yes, anyone over the age of 11 should wear a face covering.

Q. Are you going to run more buses?

A. Yes, where we have identified a likely increase in demand for our services, extra buses are being provided.

Q. Can students use their passes at other times of day? I.e. if there's a sports practice after school.

A. Yes, passes are valid all day Monday to Friday.

Q. Do the students need to show anything else to support their ticket, such as a student ID?

A. No

Q. Why are the school tickets not showing up when I look on the website?

A. This may be because you don't have who the tickets are valid for or your location set correctly. Please ensure you set the 'Tickets valid for' option to students. For a Keswick School pass set your location to Workington and for Lancaster school tickets set your location to Lancaster.
