There’s a lot of places to go in the Lakes this winter by bus.
Download your new Lakes Connection Guide which runs from 30 October 2017 to 23 March 2018.
The Lake District, nestled in the heart of Cumbria is an area of outstanding natural beauty and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site as well.
It’s a richly rewarding place to visit, whether for just an hour or two, a whole day or even longer. There’s always more to discover, however often you return, and with the Lakes Connection, you’ll want to return again and again.
These days it’s less and less of a good idea to drive into the Lake, you’ve got parking to contend with and, frankly, it’s not really a sensible choice when all those cars spoil the very things we’ve come to enjoy.
NEW for Winter 2017-18
Our 599 service will continue to Grasmere all winter long, and on bright winter days, we’ll be using our new Lakesider open top buses to give you the best views. This means that nearly every day during the winter we’ll have a bus at least every half hour between Windermere and Grasmere.
599 Lakesider at Christmas
If you’ve had enough of turkey and tinsel why not blow away the cobwebs with a ride of Lakesider 599, on Boxing Day or New Year’s Day. Check out the timetable here.
With the Stagecoach Bus website, you can plan your journey with ease before you arrive. For those who live in the moment, the Stagecoach Bus App helps you locate your nearest bus stop and with LIVE bus times, you'll spend less time waiting for the bus and doing more of the things that you love. You can even use it to buy your day ticket before you get here!
If you’d prefer a printed timetable you can pick up a copy of the Lakes Connection guide from information racks located in local B&B's, hotels and attractions, and also on our buses. If you’d like us to send you a copy in the post, just pop us an email.
