100 Voices includes eight walking and cycling trails around the city and surrounding countryside to commemorate 100 years of the RAF and the close association that Lincoln and Lincolnshire has with aviation.
100 Voices tells the story of the RAF through the people who have experienced it, both men and women in military and civilian roles. Each of the 100 Voices is presented on a “Wing” these are placed in 100 different locations around Lincoln and Lincolnshire that have an association with the RAF.
All of the family walking and cycling trails have a question on each wing. Answer all the questions on the trail to get your wings. If you complete all 5 trails within Lincoln you’ll earn your 100 voices pilot’s license!
The Proctor Trail will take you out along the Fossdyke Canal then through fields and woods that once bordered RAF Skellingthorpe as well as the historic Doddington Hall.
Almost the whole route is off-road with just three minor roads to cross and a short stretch in the City Centre to the Brayford. There is a pub en-route and a cafe at Doddington Hall as well as lots of restaurants and bars on Brayford Waterfront too!
