Hull Bus Strokes

In celebration of Hull UK City of Culture 2017, Stagecoach East Midlands has teamed up with the Hull School of Art and Design to transform two double-decker bus into an artistic masterpiece named Hull Bus Strokes.

As part of the Hull UK City of Culture 2017 celebrations, students and the bus company have been working together to transform two double decker buses into modern masterpieces.

The students were asked to produce a design for the bus exterior. The project formed part of their coursework and the winning design, as voted for by Stagecoach, will be painted and displayed on the Hull art bus.

After much deliberation, two designs were chosen to adorn the buses that will celebrate Hull UK City of Culture 2017.

Once completed, the buses will be publicly unveiled and run on major routes, throughout Hull, for the remainder of the City of Culture year, while at the same time promoting Hull School of Art and Design.
