Tour de Depots - Two of our Lincoln drivers have volunteered to do a sponsored tandem ride. They’ll be travelling 250 miles around the area where our buses run. This was due to start on 27th March, but due to the current Coronavirus pandemic their challenge has been postponed until next year. We'll keep you updated.
In total, we managed to raise £2058.59 collectively, which is an amazing 20% of our £10,000 target for the first year.
It costs £28 to power an hour of Macmillan nursing. Our staff have been very busy waxing, baking, braving challenges and donating to power as many hours as possible. In total from 28 August over 28 days we managed to raise £1460.94 which will power an amazing 52 hours.
On 27 September, staff at all depots made time to stop for a cuppa and cake in support of Macmillan’s ‘Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning’. Skegness, Mansfield and Lincoln were also selling cuppas and cakes to customers in their bus stations, you may have joined them! A total of £2433.29 was raised. Well done everyone.
On 11 October one of our hairy drivers, Wayne Lee from Worksop, braved the pain and completed an intense waxing session in the Bus Station whilst on his break. The total amount raised for Wayne's pain was £500.24. Thank you to Wayne and everyone who made this event a success. Lincoln driver, Paul Hodges also braved the shave on Thursday 1 July in Lincoln Bus Station raising a fantastic £469.90. Well done Paul.
East Midlands Staff Survey
Each year our staff are asked to complete the 'Tell Me' staff survey and for each survey completed Stagecoach donate £1 to charity.
This year our region raised an amazing £722 for Macmillan. A big thank you to all those who completed the survey!.
We smashed our £10,000 target in just 6 months this Christmas! Staff had an appetite for yummy hampers and were tempted with the extra days holiday in the raffle. Also many chose to ditch their blue fleece for a donation to wear something festive raising an amazing £2468.78.
To celebrate the Euros we kicked off on 11th June with ‘Wear your footy shirt to work week’. Our staff wore their favourite football shirts for a donation, and to keep the ball rolling until the final whistle was blown, we ran local staff sweepstakes too.
