Whether you’re at home, or in the workplace, here are some great ideas that you can adapt from wherever you’re based, to have some fun and raise some money for Macmillan.
Go Sober For October
Be a Soberhero for Macmillan this October. Say no to the booze for a day, a week, or the month and say yes to raising money for people living with cancer. If you think you’re up to an amazing act of abstinence this month, register today and Macmillan will send you a fab fundraising pack to get you started.
Reality TV Sweepstakes
Take a chance on your favourite show by running your own sweepstake. Whether in the jungle, the castle, on the dancefloor, or on the stage – sit back, relax and keep your fingers crossed that your contestant wins.
National Hair Day - 1st October
Hair today, gone tomorrow! To celebrate national hair day, why not wave goodbye to your luscious locks and register for Macmillan’s Brave the Shave. Thousands of incredible people are getting sponsored to shave their hair and raise money. So, whatever your reason, whoever you do it for - by braving the shave, you’ll be helping Macmillan support even more people living with cancer.
The Virgin Money London Marathon - 3rd October
Macmillan is hugely proud to be the charity of the year for the 2021 Virgin Money London Marathon, taking place on Sunday 03 October. So why not join in and take on your own 26.2 mile challenge – whether running, walking or cycling and raise money to help Macmillan be there for everyone. From day one.
Frankenstein Friday - 29th October
Frankenstein Friday celebrates the birth of Dr. Frankenstein and his creation. One of the best-known horror characters, we can’t imagine the Halloween season without his presence, lurking somewhere in the darkness. So, whether you celebrate our green friend, Franky, or hold Halloween themed events, witch-ever way you look at it, it’s a spooktacular way to raise money.
Give An Hour Back Day - 31st October
We all get given an extra hour when the clocks go back in October, so set yourself a challenge to raise as much money as possible in the hour. It could be a sponsored walk, run or cycle. Or if you feel less energetic, why not donate an hour of your wages on our justgiving page and get as many colleagues, friends or family to donate too.
You can also donate to Macmillan Cancer Support via our Just Giving Page
Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.
