Festive timetable information is available below so that you can easily plan your festive travel in advance. Read on for Christmas bus timetable information including the run up to Christmas, buses on Boxing Day, the times for the last bus on New Year's Eve and more!

Festive Timetables

Every year around the Festive period, we make changes to our services. If you're planning to travel with us from Monday 24 December, please check the information below before you travel:

Monday 24 December 2018

The normal timetables will run on all Stagecoach East Services services until the evening, with many later journeys ending early or withdrawn. View full timetable here.

Tuesday 25 December 2018

No Stagecoach East Scotland services will run on this day.

Special timetables will run on certain Stagecoach East Scotland services only. View full timetable here.

Thursday 27 - Friday 28 December

In Fife, a Saturday timetable will run on all routes, except Stagecoach East Scotland services N55 and N99 which will not run on Thursday night/Friday morning.
The first journeys on service 747 on Thursday 27 December will be the 0342 St Leonards to Edinburgh Airport journey (0405 from Halbeath P&R) and the 0450 Edinburgh Airport to Halbeath P&R journey.

In Perth & Kinross, a normal weekday (school holiday) timetable will run on all routes, except services 36, 56, 66A and X56 which will run a Saturday timetable.

In Dundee & Angus, a normal weekday (school holiday) timetable will run on all routes, except services 42, 53, 73, 77, 99, X26 and X54 which will run a Saturday timetable. Service N99 will not run on Thursday night/Friday morning.

Saturday 29 - Sunday 30 December

The normal Stagecoach timetables will run on all routes in East Scotland.

It's easy to get around by bus this festive season.Due to road closures for the Edinburgh Hogmanay Street Party, buses will only be able to stop at Queensferry Street and the bus station in Edinburgh in the evening of Sunday 30 December. The bus stops on Princes Street won't be used during this time.

In Perthshire, normal weekday (school holiday) timetables will run on all routes except: Services 36, 56, 66A & X56 will run a Saturday timetable.

Thursday 3 January 2019 onwards

 The normal Stagecoach timetables (school holiday) will resume on all East Scotland routes.

Are there buses running on Christmas Day?

Stagecoach services are not running in East Scotland on Christmas Day.

Are there buses running on Boxing Day?

Only certain Stagecoach services will run on Boxing Day in East Scotland and they will be observing special timetables. View full timetable here.

No Stagecoach East Scotland services will run on New Year's Day.

When do buses go back to normal after Christmas?

Stagecoach bus services in East Scotland return to normal on Thursday 3 January 2019. The normal timetables (school holiday) will resume on all routes.
