National Customer Service Week 2016

It's National Customer Service Week and our employees are gearing up to celebrate the national campaign with a range of local activities throughout the week from 3-7 October.

National Customer Service Week is run by the Institute of Customer Service and aims to raise awareness of customer service and the vital role it plays in successful business practice and the growth of the UK economy.

During National Customer Service Week, Stagecoach’s bus and rail employees across the UK will take part in a series of local activities aimed at highlighting the importance of continuing to deliver good customer service day in, day out for passengers.

Look out for our heritage vehicle on the road in Perth all week, operating on route 7 between Hillend, the city centre and Scone, check the timetable to see when you can try it out. We also asked customers to nominate your Customer Service Star, and a week of other activities will take place:

'Appy Monday  We're promoting the new Stagecoach bus app, which makes it even easier for you to plan your journey, find your stop and track your bus.  It's free to download and available on the App Store and Google Play.
Talk 2 Us Tuesday Meet our customer service team, they're always happy to answer your questions, help you plan your journey and find the best ticket to suit your needs!

Winning Wednesday Have you received great customer service from a Stagecoach East Scotland employee?  We asked you to nominate your customer service star by completing the form on our website.  

Entries have now closed and we're delighted to announce Scott Faulds, a driver from our Aberhill depot as our overall winner, who wins an ipad mini 2!  

A big thank you to everyone who nominated a member of our staff too, the customer who nominated Scott Faulds will also receive free travel as a thank you for the nomination. 
Throwback Thursday Directors, Managers and head office staff are going back to the floor on Thursday to chat to customers, answer your queries and get you to where you need to be!  Here's where you'll catch some of the team:
  • Andrew Jarvis, Managing Director - driving a coach between Fife and Glasgow
  • Tom Wardlaw, Operations Manager - assisting customers at Ferrytoll P&R
  • Gillian Robertson, Operations Manager - checking tickets and assisting customers on board buses in Glenrothes
  • Dave Simpson, Engineering Manager - back in the workshop for the day
  • Graeme Muir, Assistant Operations Manager - driving a bus in St Andrews
  • Martin Gallagher, Commercial Services Technician - assisting customers at Kirkcaldy bus station
Friday Funday We're having a bit of fun on Friday with musical treats at St Andrews bus station, fancy dress fun at Dundee bus station, and free goodies on route 19 in Fife (while stocks last).  

We're also operating a vintage vehicle in Perth as a trip down memory lane all week, with journeys on the heritage bus free on Friday! 

The Utility Guy vehicle will be operating on route 7 in Perth from Monday 3 to Friday 7 October to a special timetable, duplicating the normal journeys on the route.
