Timetable changes for November 2017

Proposed service changes from Monday 13 November

In Perthshire, we run a diverse mix of commercial and tendered services in both city and rural environments, which brings a range of different traffic and operational conditions.   Some of these services have not changed significantly for many years, but during this time the economy and people’s travel patterns have evolved considerably.  We are therefore proposing to significantly overhaul the network to increase capacity on key routes and make other improvements to the services on offer.

We have been reviewing our network of services across Perth & Kinross and will be carrying out consultation through our website and with local authorities during September 2017, with any changes due to take effect from Monday 13 November 2017.

We will also take the opportunity to make some small adjustments to services in Fife and Dundee to reflect feedback received since the Express network change in June and other recent council tender changes.

If you would like to comment on any of our proposals, please refer to the proposals and draft timetable links below and complete the contact form below by Friday 22 September.   If you have more detailed feedback to provide then please send your comments to Consultation Feedback, FREEPOST STAGECOACH before Wednesday 20 September.

Our proposals are also being discussed with Perth and Kinross Council, as well as other neighbouring local authorities during this time, and any confirmed revisions will be announced in October.

New Gold Service 7A: Scone P&R – City Centre – Broxden P&R – Western Edge – Hillend

This service is proposed to be significantly improved to offer increased frequencies, up to every ten minutes, and more journey opportunities.  The route would be extended to Scone park & ride, providing more frequent departures for users of this facility in place of service 57, which would no longer serve the park & ride site.  The route would now also serve Broxden park & ride for the first time, replacing service 301 and providing a much more frequent service, including evenings and Sundays.  Journeys would operate either as service 7 via Hillend and Western Edge anticlockwise as they do currently, or as new service 7A via Western Edge and Hillend clockwise, enabling easier local journeys to be made in both directions around these residential parts of the city.  The service frequency would be increased to every 10 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes in the evenings.  There is no proposed change to the route around Scone or within the City Centre.
