As part of our ongoing commitment to understand the travel needs of our customers, we asked Rosyth and Inverkeithing residents a few questions about the use of bus services in the area.
Reviewing our services regularly can help us with future service development and will provide even more insight into how our buses are used. We're delighted that our own analysis tells us that more people in Rosyth are using the current bus routes in the area and we want to make sure we can continue to provide the best possible network of routes to serve the community.
As you can imagine there are many operational issues we face in the area, in particular, significant levels of traffic travelling via Rosyth when there is disruption on the Forth Road Bridge; and we are faced with increased difficulty accessing parts of Rosyth due to poorly parked cars, which can have a negative impact on those residents who rely on public transport the most if we simply can't get to them.
We are continually trying to minimise the impact of any such issues on our regular customers and it's useful to understand customer movements in order to consider any future improvements.
We have now published details of our service changes taking place on Monday 14th August. We are pleased that the new journeys offered by the 85 service Fife Council have created will address some customer issues in this area. Other minor revisions to timetables will address some feedback regarding services in Rosyth and Inverkeithing.
