We all need to do whatever we can to protect each other from Coronavirus, so in line with the latest government guidance, there are measures in place to help you to travel with confidence, including limiting available seats on buses and enhanced cleaning. Unless you’re exempt, you must wear a face covering when using public transport, throughout your journey. Please avoid busy times, use contactless payment where you can and take your litter with you. There are temporary timetables in Wales between 25 October and 9 November due to a two-week Welsh Government lockdown.

November 1st Service Changes

In response to passenger feedback and the daily monitoring of our services, we will be making various changes to our Busway and Cambridgeshire routes from Sunday 1st November. Read our FAQ booklet for full details or scroll down to view the new timetables.

Changes to Busway Services:

A- St Ives to Trumpington Park & Ride via Cambridge City Centre:

  • The A route will run every 20 minutes Monday-Saturday and combines with Route B to run every 10 minutes between St Ives and Trumpington Park & Ride during the day. 

B- Hinchingbrooke, St Ives and Cambridge North to Trumpington Park & Ride via Cambridge City Centre:

  • The B route will now be extended to serve Trumpington Park & Ride.
  • The B route will run every 20 minutes Monday-Saturday and combines with Route A to run every 10 minutes between St Ives and Trumpington Park & Ride during the day.

C- St Ives to Cambridge City Centre/Rail Station/Long Road Sixth Form:

  • By introducing route C, we will ensure that a bus will leave St Ives Park & Ride every 5 minutes towards Cambridge during the morning peak and every 5 minutes from the City Centre/Rail Station in the afternoon peak.

Changes to Connecting Services:

915:

  • Introduction of an earlier journey and regular hourly service Monday-Friday.

V1:

  • Additional Monday-Friday journeys have been added.

V3:

  • An additional Monday-Friday journey has been added.
  • The 19:03 departure will be re-timed to leave St Ives at 19:00 and operate 3 minutes earlier throughout.

V5:

  • We have made some slight changes to the timetable so that service times align with the new Busway timetables.

Cambridge Service Changes

Route 1:

  • Additional buses will be provided to combat congestion and improve reliability.

Route 2:

Route 3:

  • Additional buses will be provided to combat congestion and improve reliability.

Route 5:

  • The 18:28 and 19:28 Monday-Saturday journeys towards Cambridge will be diverted via Oakington and Girton.

Route 6:

  • One journey a day Monday-Friday is extended to/from Madingley and Dry Drayton, returning the service to its pre-Covid level.
  • The last 6 journeys from Oakington have been removed and will be covered by route 5.

Route 7:

  • Additional buses will be provided to combat congestion and improve reliability

Route 8:

  • All journeys from Cottenham towards Cambridge will depart 5 minutes later, and operate 5 minutes later throughout.

Route 8H:

  • On Monday to Saturday journeys, buses will depart Histon Road Hazelwood Close 3 minutes earlier.

Route 9/9B/X9:

  • The Monday-Friday 17:55 9B journey will now operate as route 9 via Milton Road.  Customers wishing to travel to Fen Ditton, Horningsea and Waterbeach Capper Road should instead use route 19.
  • On Monday to Friday, the 17:02 X9 departure from Ely towards Cambridge will now depart Ely at 17:07 and will then run 5 minutes later throughout.

Routes 13/13A/13B/X13:

  • Route 13 and all associated routes will run every 10 minutes in the AM and PM peaks.
  • There will also be two additional journeys in the morning from Cambridge to Haverhill in order to enable night shift workers at Addenbrookes to get home at the end of their shift.

Route 18:

  • The 06:51 journey from Eltisley will now operate via Trumpington, Long Road Sixth Form and Hills Road Sixth Form on schooldays only.

Route 19:

  • Two additional journeys will operate on this route Monday-Friday in order to return the route back to its pre-covid level of operation.

  • Changes have been made to the timetable in order to improve punctuality.
