Once you have passed the assessment day there are a number of steps to go through before you can start your training. We will send you an offer letter and this letter contains vital information about what to expect and when, so please read it carefully.
You will need to attend a pre-employment medical in order that you can obtain the provisional Category D on your Driving Licence. We normally have a number of appointments available and when we contact you with a conditional offer we will find an appointment slot which suits you. If you are applying to work from Cambridge depot, the medical will be at either Addenbrookes Hospital or in Cambourne, but we will confirm that with you when we make the appointment. We have suitable locations for medicals in the local area relevant to the depot you are applying for. We cover the cost of this medical.
After a successful medical appointment we will then need to send your licence off to the DVLA so we can get your provisional D entitlement put on. Once this has been done, and the licence returned to you, we can then confirm a date when you will start in our Training
